Job summary

Alliance Health System is seeking a Negotiations Specialist to join the Revenue Cycle Management team. This role focuses on collecting on negotiated claims and coordinating with patients, insurers, and payers to optimize revenue.

Based remotely with optional on-site ties to our Matawan HQ, you will manage follow-ups, review denials, and collaborate with billing and coding teams to ensure timely reimbursement while maintaining compliance.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of medical billing and coding processes.
• Experience with revenue cycle management in healthcare setting preferred.
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
• Ability to review complex billing statements and denials.

Responsibilities

• Manage collections for negotiated claims and follow up on unpaid balances.
• Use revenue cycle software to track and prioritize collection activities.
• Review unpaid claims and denials to identify root causes and resolve.
• Negotiate payment arrangements with patients and payers.
• Maintain records of collection efforts in compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with billing/coding teams for timely submission of claims.
