Columbia University in the City of New York is seeking an Associate Director of Revenue Cycle to lead accounts receivable and drive efficient revenue-cycle management within the central business office. This senior role reports to the Executive Director of the Clinical Revenue Office and focuses on building best-practice processes and data-driven improvements.

You will collaborate across ColumbiaDoctors and university departments, overseeing workflows, staffing, and cross-functional initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant management experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency with physician billing platforms.
• Demonstrated skills in revenue cycle management, problem assessment, project management, analytical skills, and resolution and collaborative problem-solving in complex, interdisciplinary settings.
• Ability to manage a high volume of data sets; extract, evaluate, clean, and summarize; conduct qualitative and quantitative data analysis and validation as applicable to revenue cycle areas of responsibility.
• Proficiency in insurance billing, collections, denials management as it pertains to commercial, managed care, government, managed care lines of business.

Responsabilités

• Oversee a large centralized business office unit that manages open accounts receivable and credit balances.
• Ensure productivity and quality metrics; assess and remediate to achieve compliance and best outcomes.
• Evaluate workflow and staffing to support centralized functions and new business needs.
• Lead revenue cycle initiatives to maximize reimbursement and collections.
• Develop KPIs and use dashboards to monitor performance and optimize workflows.
• Partner with departments, payers, and vendors to align CRO goals with organization priorities.
