Qualifications

• 1+ years in a revenue cycle role.
• 3+ years of medical billing, claims, and/or insurance processing.
• Extensive and current working knowledge of government, managed care, and commercial insurances claim submission requirements.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and/or health insurance terms.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance eligibility using Epic and update demographics.
• Interact with insurers to obtain authorizations and document policies.
• Review and edit claims prior to clearinghouse submission.
• Analyze denials and pursue resolution; follow up on payor payables.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and adhere to quality standards.
