Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, health care administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in Utilization Management, Care Management, or hospital billing and third-party claims adjudication/regulation.
• Experience with payer appeals and audits in a healthcare setting.
• Strong leadership, independent work capability, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in Revenue Cycle Hospital Billing Audit and Appeals with knowledge of medical necessity review processes and payer requirements.
• Design and implement unit objectives; monitor performance, and ensure policy adherence.
• Develop a positive, collaborative culture within the unit.
• Oversee appeal letters, use of AI in appeals, and management of queues and reports.
• Coordinate with third-party payers and regulatory agencies; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Manage staff development, hiring, promotions, salary, performance coaching and discipline.
• Foster relationships with payer representatives and internal customers to resolve issues.
