Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Revenue Cycle Management professional to submit medical documentation and billing data to insurers, research and appeal denied claims, and manage claim transmission using billing software. The role involves following up on unpaid claims, addressing discrepancies with insurers, and ensuring accurate payments within standard cycles.

Qualifications

• HS, GED or bachelor’s degree in business related field preferred or equivalent work experience preferred.
• 2+ years’ experience within Revenue Cycle Management preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within team environment.
• Able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Familiarity with ICD‑10 coding.
• Competent with computer systems and 10 key calculators.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Prior EdgePark and/or Cardinal Health at Home Customer Operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Submitting medical documentation/billing data to insurance providers.
• Researching and appealing denied and rejected claims.
• Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using billing software including electronic and paper claim processing.
• Following up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle time frame.
• Calling insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payment if necessary.
• Reviewing insurance payments for accuracy and completeness.
