Job summary

Auditors will evaluate tax compliance, manage audit inventories, and may lead major audits of national and multinational firms with records outside Washington. A 10% assignment pay applies for out-of-state postings.

Qualifications

• GAAP and auditing principles applied to financial statements, ledgers and journal entries.
• Advanced Excel techniques (pivot tables, lookups, data validation) to structure audit data.
• Evaluate electronic accounting systems for data integrity and trace transactions.

Responsibilities

• Audit registered and unregistered taxpayers with an emphasis on economic nexus.
• Travel to taxpayers’ locations for field work as needed.
• Manage audit assignments and oversee the audit process for large firms outside Washington.
