Guidant Financial offers a fully remote Retirement Plan Specialist position, inviting you to support entrepreneurs nationwide in launching their own businesses. This role emphasizes learning the full 401(k) administration process through hands-on training and client communication, including year-end filings such as Form 5500.

You will review documents, perform testing and reporting, and help clients navigate plan requirements while working in a supportive, ESOP-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and proactive problem solving.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in business/finance or equivalent experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of 401(k) plan structure, ROBS and IRS/DOL regulations preferred.
• Ability to work autonomously and in an inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to obtain information for annual reporting.
• Review client documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Reconcile plans using Excel and administration software.
• Complete 401(k) testing and reporting with software.
• Make reminder calls and send emails during plan year reporting.
• Prepare IRS Form 5500 and other required filings.
• Educate clients on 401(k) plan administration.
