Responsibilities:
- Successfully complete and support tasks outlined for the Compliance Associate role.
- Read and understand retirement plan documents, summaries, and related materials to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Apply relevant legislation and regulations, including IRS, DOL, and ERISA, in analyzing and interpreting information.
- Support DOL, IRS, and large plan audits.
- Assist Plan Consultants in resolving operational and compliance issues related to qualified plans.
- Manage plan administration, compliance, and testing for designated business segments.
- Monitor job progress to ensure all data requests are fulfilled timely to meet compliance deadlines.
- Prepare annual valuation and compliance reports for clients.
- Consult with Plan Consultants on drafting plan documents, amendments, and legal documents.
- Participate in quality assurance reviews.
- Handle confidential data securely to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, safeguarding organizational and client information.

Experience, Skills, and Knowledge Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on retirement plan testing experience; 8+ years preferred.
- Experience with 5500 forms and related documents.
- Knowledge of cash basis and/or trust accounting.
- At least 5 years of ERISA experience in the retirement industry preferred.
- Experience in financial data analysis and testing for at least 5 years.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and manage tasks effectively, especially concerning ERISA compliance.
- Retirement Plan Fundamentals certification upon meeting eligibility requirements.
- QKA designation is preferred but not mandatory.
- Work towards or involvement in QPA designation is preferred.
- Experience with plan administration software such as Relius, FT Williams, ASC, or Datair.
