Job summary

Marine Layer is recruiting a Jr. Associate to support Retail Operations Projects with a boots-on-the-ground presence at store openings. You will help drive maintenance, vendor coordination, and on-site training to ensure brand standards are met.

The role requires travel (up to 50%) and remote work flexibility, reporting to the Retail Operations Projects Associate. You will collaborate with multiple departments to deliver on-time, on-budget openings across a growing store network.

Qualifications

• Authentic brand advocate with a passion for retail.
• Experience in Retail Operations.
• Store leadership or supervisory experience (2-3 years in retail).
• Strong communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide boots-on-the-ground presence at store openings and support facilities coordination and maintenance.
• Coordinate vendor outreach, invoicing and expense tracking for projects.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
• Lead new store teams through execution of operational tasks and training.
• Assess onsite needs and adapt quickly to changes during openings.
