• Proven experience in retail category management or a similar strategic merchandising role.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and financial acumen.
• Excellent understanding of market dynamics, consumer behavior, and retail trends.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic category plans to maximize sales, market share, and profitability.
• Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle for the assigned category, including assortment planning, product selection, and inventory management.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, pricing, and promotional activities.
• Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
• Collaborate with marketing, merchandising, and e-commerce teams to develop integrated go-to-market strategies.
• Develop and manage category budgets, ensuring financial targets are met and optimized.
• Monitor product performance and implement strategies for improvement or delisting.
• Stay abreast of industry innovations, consumer preferences, and emerging trends to ensure category relevance.
• Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management based on category performance and market analysis.
• Oversee the creation of compelling product content and promotional materials for online and in-store platforms.
