Job summary

Mercor is seeking a Legal Expert — Restructuring (Project Donna) to work remotely on a contract basis. The role requires expert legal judgment in restructuring and insolvency with precise English writing and independent, deadline-driven work.

As an hourly contractor (~18 hours per week), you will evaluate AI-generated legal content, review blinded deliverables, and provide structured feedback. All work is NDA-covered and must avoid external AI tools on project material.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with restructuring and insolvency experience.
• Ability to judge work product for correctness, completeness, judgment, and usefulness.
• Precise written English skills.
• Ability to work independently to written instructions and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated legal content in restructuring and insolvency to ensure accuracy and depth.
• Review six blinded AI deliverables for alignment with legal principles.
• Conduct five head-to-head comparisons against a common comparator output.
• Provide clear, structured feedback with a concise rationale for each preference.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while improving AI model performance.
