Job summary

Arundel Bank, located in Anne Arundel County, seeks a Residential Loan Originator to market and procure residential mortgage loans using sound banking practices. Commission can be earned in addition to hourly pay. Flexible work-from-home options available.

The role requires at least three years in mortgage banking, knowledge of mortgage policies, and the ability to handle multiple projects while maintaining compliance and accurate file documentation.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED or equivalent.
• Three years mortgage banking experience; MLO originator preferred.
• Knowledge of mortgage policies, compliance, and federal/state regulations; NMLS certification eligible.
• Notary Public.

Responsibilities

• Develops new business by building relationships with residential home builders, Realtors, attorneys, CPA’s, and financial advisors. Cross sells all Bank services, as appropriate.
• Originates conforming/non-conforming residential mortgage applications by phone, fax, email, online channels and in person.
• Prepares initial mortgage applications for processing, including income analysis and debt-to-income calculations.
• Maintains loan documentation in customers file and updates loan records per bank policies.
• Prepares pre-qualification letters to assist customers in purchasing their new homes.
• Performs other mortgage origination, sales, and administrative duties as assigned by Residential Lending leadership.
• Ensures compliance with BSA, OFAC, CIP and regulatory requirements.
