Job summary

Fit Minded Inc. seeks a Research Scientist with established industry research experience to grow into independent client leadership within 6–9 months.

You’ll design studies, analyze data, and publish, using our needs assessment and science map methodology across diverse digital health projects. Onboarding is staged over 0–9 months, with increasing responsibility for client engagements, study design decisions, and delivering rigorous scientific insights to guide product and business choices.

Qualifications

• PhD in Behavioral Health, Clinical Psychology, Health Psychology, Public Health, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of post-degree experience conducting research in industry, startup, or consulting.
• Experience presenting research to executives, product teams, and non-scientific stakeholders.
• Experience in behavior change research with strong interest in mental and physical health.
• Experience leading or co-leading randomized controlled trials (RCTs).
• Strong proficiency in advanced quantitative analyses using R or similar.
• Proven track record of publishing in peer-reviewed journals.
• Excellent writing and communication skills, with ability to solve problems independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and conduct research studies including RCTs.
• Communicate findings to executives, product teams, and other non-scientific stakeholders.
• Develop statistical analysis plans and perform data analysis using R.
• Lead manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals and contribute to reports.
• Lead client engagements end-to-end by months 6–9.
• Collaborate with lead scientists on research aligned with broader goals.
