Job summary

The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) School of Medicine is seeking a Research Project Lead Coordinator for the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science.

This role interfaces with faculty to coordinate NIH-funded clinical trial activities, including nutrition education and virtual kitchen demonstrations for older adults, while overseeing recruitment, data collection, and study compliance.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team and independently manage tasks.
• Familiarity with functional assessment measures used in aging research.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills are essential.
• Self-motivated, eager to learn, and detail oriented.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to accuracy.
• Must have access to a car for participant home visits.

Responsibilities

• Independently manages complex research studies and coordinates trials with multiple stakeholders.
• Plan and administer project goals, workflows, and policies throughout the study duration.
• Assist investigators with protocol submissions and renewals as needed.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and institutional policies.
• Develop data collection, storage, analysis, and reporting methods.
• Provide training and supervision to junior staff and coordinate meetings.
