Cohere, a global security-first AI company, is offering a Research Internship to work with leading researchers on training and evaluating large language models. The role involves exploring language modelling, evaluation, and related ML topics, with publication- and code-sharing expectations.

You will collaborate with teams across research areas including retrieval augmentation, safety, and fine-tuning. This is a remote-friendly role open to candidates located in Canada, lasting 4–6 months and

Formación

• Pursuing a PhD in ML/NLP or related discipline; exceptional non-PhD candidates considered.
• Eligible for work authorization in the country of employment for the duration of the internship.
• Experience with large-scale distributed training strategies, data annotation and evaluation pipelines, or implementing state-of-the-art ML models.
• Familiar with autoregressive sequence models, such as Transformers.
• Proficiency in Python, C, C++, Lua; knowledge of ML frameworks such as JAX, PyTorch and TensorFlow.
• Experience building systems based on ML and deep learning techniques.
• Demonstrated passion for applied NLP models and products.
