Job summary
PetLabCo. is seeking a Research and Innovation Scientist II to drive science-based pet supplements from idea to launch. You will formulate, test, and substantiating products, working with senior scientists and external partners to bring new products to life.
You will own a portfolio of products, review ingredients, formats, and trends, and ensure compliance with evolving regulatory expectations while collaborating with marketing, compliance, suppliers, and manufacturing teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters of Science in a technical area including animal science and nutrition.
- Experience in product formulation and/or new product development.
- Experience with R&D of early-stage ingredients.
- Ability to explain and justify formulations clearly.
Responsibilities
- Support formulation of new products and optimize existing formulations.
- Collaborate with suppliers and co-manufacturers.
- Design and execute studies to generate efficacy data.
- Stay updated on new ingredients and regulatory expectations.
- Work with compliance and marketing to ensure claims stay compliant.
- Support cross-functional teams for successful product launches.
