Job summary

WECTEC Staffing Services seeks a Commissioning Project Manager of Renewable Energy on behalf of its client. This 1-year contract will manage commissioning, start up, and turnover for wind, solar, and battery projects. You will coordinate with EPC/OEM teams and report to the onsite Manager.

Location is remote with travel to multiple sites. The role requires overseeing safety, quality, and project execution for a portfolio of projects, ensuring on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Electrical construction and commissioning knowledge including NEC and NFPA.
• SCADA integration and troubleshooting.
• E&I controls installation, startup and troubleshooting.
• Protection and controls implementation and troubleshooting.
• Inverter operation and communications startup and troubleshooting.
• Battery energy storage system operation and troubleshooting.
• Drawing review quality control inspection.
• Manage third parties and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Perform commissioning activities with high quality following safety policies.
• Coordinate EPC contractor, OEM startup personnel, third-party start up contractors, and operations on site.
• Ensure reliability at operational turnover with minimal lost time.
• Ensure compliance with contract documents including Power Purchase and Large Generator Interconnect deliverables.
• Oversee commissioning personnel across multiple sites to meet contractual obligations.
• Provide SME input into safety, personnel, and quality planning.
