Sanofi is seeking a Reimbursement & Insurance Verification Specialist for a 6-month contract. This fully remote role supports Rare Blood patient services, focusing on reimbursement, insurance verification, and collaboration with Case Managers to streamline access to therapies.

The ideal candidate has frontline healthcare admin experience, proficiency with Salesforce or similar systems, and strong data accuracy with HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Experience with Salesforce CRM/CMS or applicable case management systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong data entry skills with high accuracy.
• Ability to perform high-volume outreach to insurance providers for benefit information.
• Clear written and verbal communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient information (PII/PHI).

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility by contacting insurance providers.
• Conduct high-volume payer outreach to gather policy details and reimbursement requirements.
• Research prior authorization requirements and provide documentation to Case Management.
• Follow up on prior authorizations, pending claims and coverage determinations.
• Re-verify benefits to support ongoing treatment.
• Research denied or incomplete claims and help resolve barriers.
• Track pending claims and denials through resolution with updates to internal teams.
• Assist with copay claim issues related to Copay Assistance Program.
• Process new patient enrollment forms and documentation.
• Provide professional customer service via inbound calls and insurer communications.
• Coordinate with team to manage shared work queues and priorities.
• Maintain knowledge of reimbursement processes, billing guidelines, and patient assistance programs.
• Perform accurate data entry and maintain case documentation in Salesforce and other systems.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
