Job summary

Nordic Naturals seeks a Regulatory Claims Substantiation Specialist to review and revise evidence backing health claims for dietary ingredients. You will collaborate with Regulatory, Research, Product Development, Marketing, and Education teams to ensure scientific accuracy and regulatory compliance.

The role requires expert scientific writing, strong English communication, and the ability to manage multiple substantiation projects while adhering to timelines.

Qualifications

• Degree in biology/biochemistry/physiology or life sciences.
• At least three years of regulatory experience related to claims substantiation for finished dietary supplement products.
• Knowledge of nutraceutical industry and ingredient characteristics.
• Knowledge of DSHEA and FDA/FTC guidelines.
• Ability to read and interpret scientific/clinical studies.

Responsibilities

• Review scientific evidence on dietary ingredient effects.
• Propose revisions to substantiation documents to support health claims.
• Identify high-risk claims and revise language accordingly.
• Develop expertise in biochemical/clinical terminology related to ingredients.
• Summarize and substantiate mechanistic and clinical evidence for product claims.
• Communicate with team to plan and produce high-quality materials.
• Manage projects to meet deadlines and priorities.
• Edit technical content for grammar, usage, and clarity.
• Collaborate with regulatory and product teams to assess risk of formulas.
• Support review of marketing, product, and education content.
