Job summary

The States Project is seeking a senior political strategist to lead governance and state-level strategy across assigned states. You will work closely with lawmakers, caucuses, and campaign teams to advance power-building outcomes.

The role reports to the Senior Director of Political Strategy and requires deep knowledge of campaigns, governance, and data-driven decision making. This is a remote role with nationwide scope and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Three cycles of experience on political campaigns with multi-million dollar budget management.
• Deep understanding of political campaigns, governance, and strategic data analysis.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with a collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead TSP's political and governance strategy in an assigned set of states.
• Work directly with legislative leaders, caucuses, candidates, and lawmakers.
• Report to the Senior Director of Political Strategy and support power-building outcomes.
• Build strategic relationships with key stakeholders and manage in-state partnerships.
• Oversee TSP spending, draft investment plans, and track campaign effectiveness.
• Keep teams and supporters informed on landscape developments and best practices.
