Merck is seeking a Regional Medical Scientific Director with Doctoral-level credentials to lead scientific exchange, research initiatives, and investigator collaborations. The role focuses on providing balanced, non‑product scientific information to Scientific Leaders while supporting company-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies.

You will engage in bidirectional information exchange, contribute to protocol discussions with GCTO, and serve as a role model for field medical teams.

Qualifications

• PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO or MD required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant therapeutic area experience beyond degree.
• Ability to conduct doctoral-level discussions with external stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and related guidelines.

Responsabilités

• Develops professional relationships with national and regional SLs to access approved medical information.
• Conducts peer-to-peer scientific discussions and maintains ongoing medical contacts within the company.
• Directs inquiries on issues outside scope to appropriate company resources.
• Keeps current knowledge of scientific and clinical developments in AOI for the role.
