Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. seeks a Growth- and Improvement-minded Regional Medical Scientific Director (MSL) in Inflammatory Bowel Disease Immunology to engage with Scientific Leaders and exchange scientific information aligned to corporate strategy.

The role emphasizes leadership in Scientific Exchange, Research, Congress Support, and Insights, while adhering to GCP guidelines and SOPs, and serving as a role model for field medical colleagues.

Qualifications

• Proven Immunology experience in IBD beyond degree program.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Ability to conduct doctoral-level discussions with external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of FDA, OIG, HIPAA and pharmaceutical industry guidelines.
• Ability to organize and adapt in a changing environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and virtual meeting platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develops professional relationships with national and regional SLs for access to medical information.
• Conducts peer-to-peer scientific discussions and maintains medical contact with SLs.
• Directs SL inquiries to appropriate company resources.
• Keeps current knowledge of AOIs and scientific environment in specified therapeutic area.
• Supports research collaborations and investigator-initiated studies.
