Job summary

Edify seeks a Director of Edification and Philanthropy to lead donor cultivation for the Dallas–Fort Worth and Texas region and beyond. You will identify prospective donors, build relationships, and craft a Christ-centered development strategy to engage foundations and individuals.

This role emphasizes initiative, independent work, and compelling fundraising presentations. The role requires a bachelor’s degree (graduate degree preferred) and 3+ years in fundraising, with up to 30% travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (graduate degree preferred).
• 3+ years fundraising or other relevant experience.
• Excellent written, verbal and public communication skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time.
• Self-starter with intrinsic motivation, strong organizational skills and ability to work remotely.
• International development, community development or microfinance knowledge is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and successfully implement a donor cultivation strategy for the region.
• Target starting at $150,000 raised in year one, doubling to $1 million by year five.
• Expand the territory beyond current donors through proactive initiative.
• Organize and lead 2-3 donor vision trips annually.
• Manage a cost-effective regional development budget and related expenses.
• Cultivate collaboration with the development team and participate in regular calls.
• Attend Edify’s global meetings and program update calls.
• Use Salesforce to gather program data and donor impact stories.
• Track donor relationships and report on cultivation activities in Salesforce.
