Job summary

State of North Carolina’s North Carolina Department of Public Instruction seeks an Education Program Consultant II (NS) to lead digital-learning initiatives and support Public School Units across the Sandhills region.

The role requires home-based work with up to 60% travel to Anson, Bladen, Columbus, Cumberland, Harnett, Hoke, Lee, Moore, Robeson, Richmond, Sampson, Scotland counties and Whiteville City Schools.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education field and four years of related experience in public education or an equivalent combination may qualify.
• Experience developing and delivering formal presentations and/or training.
• Experience in analyzing data; familiarity with digital technologies (STEM, coding, AI, VR/AR).

Responsibilities

• Provide district leadership teams with planning support for implementing the NC Digital Learning Initiative and local digital learning initiatives.
• Guide PSUs to leverage NCED Connect tools to boost digital literacy and online schooling.
• Provide regional support, consultation, and guidance to evaluate, implement, and sustain emerging technologies.
• Support school library media programs and coordinators within the Sandhills region; coordinate with statewide libraries consultant.
• Serve as primary Division contact and resource for the assigned region on DPI initiatives, policy updates, and planning resources.
• Collaborate with division team members and educational leaders to support PSUs.
