Banner Health is seeking a dedicated Referral Specialist to coordinate Banner-ordered referrals, leveraging Cerner referral tools and understanding insurance authorization processes. This remote role supports primary care referrals, tracks care gaps, and ensures timely patient communication.

Responsibilities include scheduling, liaison work among patients and providers, and documenting payor-authorization data. Training will be provided.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of direct patient interaction/experience in medical/healthcare or insurance.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
• Strong customer service focus and problem-solving ability.
• Proficient with commonly used office software.

Responsabilidades

• Schedule appointments for specialty services and diagnostic testing per provider request.
• Act as liaison between patients, providers and staff for referral and follow-up needs.
• Provide required clinical information for payor authorization prior to services.
• Track and manage referrals with 30/60/90 day follow-up.
• Coordinate with outside referral sources and community resources.
