Job summary

TransUnion LLC is seeking an experienced Red Teamer to join the Information Security Department. The role involves conducting Threat Emulation exercises such as Red Team and Purple Team operations, as well as penetration testing to assess systems, networks, and applications.

This is a remote position with occasional in-person events at management’s discretion. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, perform lateral movement assessments, and develop custom scripts and tools to simulate

Qualifications

• 5+ years of active experience in conducting penetration tests and red team operations.
• Expertise in compromising modern organizations, privilege escalation, and internal movement.
• Strong phishing and social engineering experience.
• Experience in writing comprehensive reports detailing risks and recommendations.
• Basic development experience (Python/Bash/Git) for custom solutions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct threat emulation exercises and red team operations to identify vulnerabilities.
• Run purple team exercises to test overall security posture.
• Perform lateral movement to assess network segmentation and access controls.
• Demonstrate local privilege escalation techniques.
• Emulate threat actor techniques to identify gaps in defenses.
• Develop scripts/tools to enhance red team operations.
• Perform reconnaissance to identify targets and attack vectors.
• Test security of cloud environments and configurations.
• Document findings and communicate risks to stakeholders.
