Job summary

New Roots Institute in the United States seeks a Recruitment and Outreach Manager to design and lead a new relationship-based recruitment function for high school and university students. You will identify prospects, nurture connections with educators and student groups, and guide applicants from first contact through to submission.

As the first person in this role, you’ll build systems to track relationships, partnerships, and outcomes, and travel within the US as needed to meet recruitment

Qualifications

• Experience in relationship-based recruitment, outreach, or sales.
• Ability to build a strong pipeline and convert outreach to engagement and action.
• Ability to establish trust with prospective applicants, educators, and organizations.
• Strategic and hands-on: translate goals into plans, systems, and actions.
• Strong written and verbal communication, adaptable to audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-touch recruitment efforts, building a pipeline of students and guiding applicants through the process.
• Build systems for prospect tracking, partnerships, and evaluating results.
• Develop targeted outreach strategies to meet recruitment goals and engage priority audiences.
• Cultivate partnerships with schools, educators, and student organizations to connect with strong applicants.
• Activate Fellows, alumni, and ambassadors to identify prospective applicants.
