Job summary

First American’s Agency Division is seeking a title examiner tester to examine public records and assess property titles for residential properties. You will partner with technology teams to test title examination platforms and provide feedback to improve workflows.

Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent, strong attention to detail, customer service orientation, and knowledge of legal terms is helpful. This is a remote role with pay range $23.37–$31.15 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Examine public records and assess property titles, primarily for residential properties.
• Partner with technology development teams to test and improve title examination platforms and applications.
• Abstract and analyze records—including mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, vital statistics, and plat and map books— to determine ownership and verify legal descriptions.
• Test title-related tools, platforms, and applications across a variety of workflows and scenarios.
• Help define and refine test scenarios and workflows based on real-world title examination practices.
