Job summary

Burlington Stores seeks an experienced Director of Real Estate to lead site selection, lease negotiations, and execution of 20-25 new store openings and relocations annually within an assigned territory. The role covers Maryland, Virginia, DC, North Carolina, and South Carolina, with travel across the region.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in retail real estate, strong market knowledge, and proven deal execution. This is a salaried, full‑time position with a robust benefits package.

• Strong market knowledge of expansion strategies
• Exceptional negotiation and relationship management with landlords and brokers
• Financial and analytical skills to assess deal economics

• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and secure prime real estate opportunities aligned with Burlington’s expansion goals.
• Conduct market research to support decision‑making and optimize site selection.
• Develop relationships with landlords, brokers, and real estate partners to secure optimal locations.
• Lead negotiations for new store leases, relocations, and renewals with favorable terms.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Construction, and Store Planning teams for seamless deal execution.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of new store openings and relocations from site ID to store opening.
