Job summary

ENTA Management is seeking a Surgery Insurance Verification/Authorization Specialist to verify benefits, obtain pre-certifications, and document details in the EMR. You will contact insurers and PCPs, confirm in-network status, and coordinate with surgery schedulers to prevent delays.

The role requires strong communication, accurate data entry, and knowledge of HIPAA. A high school diploma or GED and a medical office background are preferred; a work-from-home option may be available after

Qualifications

• High School education or GED equivalent.
• Minimum one year of medical office experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of insurance verification process and contracted insurance plans.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent telephone and customer service skills.
• Demonstrated ability to use a computer with Microsoft Word, Outlook and EMR software.

Responsibilities

• Verify benefits and obtain authorizations from insurance providers.
• Contact patients or PCPs to obtain missing information.
• Confirm insurances are in-network and active.
• Fax or electronically submit authorization requests.
• Enter authorizations into the EMR and link to surgery appointments.
