Bernalillo County's Public Works - Technical Services is seeking a Natural Resources and Energy Efficiency Program Manager to lead the Natural Water Resources Program, overseeing planning, research, and implementation of water and natural resources projects for the county.

This role directs staff, sets goals, ensures regulatory compliance, and engages with federal/state agencies on grants and environmental initiatives, while collaborating with county departments and boards.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Planning, Environment or Natural Sciences, or a related field.
• Ten (10) years of work experience in water and energy related projects, experience with state, federal agencies in water infrastructure, or water and natural resources development and protection.
• Four (4) years of experience in a managerial role.
• Equivalent combinations of related education/experience may be considered.

Aufgaben

• Manages the natural resources section and directs staff on technical studies, regulatory compliance, ordinance development, plan review, permitting, enforcement, and public outreach.
• Supervises staff and directs administrative activities, including assignments, performance evaluations, goals, and program guidelines.
• Prepares environmental-related policies and recommendations for the Technical Services Department and other county departments.
• Represents the department on boards, committees, hearings, and with the Director or Deputy County Manager.
