J.S. Held LLC is seeking a Junior Environmental Consultant to support environmental site assessment, investigation, and remediation projects for commercial, industrial, and transactional clients across New Jersey.
The role offers hands-on experience with Project Managers, senior consultants, and LSRPs, focusing on NJDEP site remediation requirements, ASTM Phase I ESAs, and environmental transaction support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering field is required.
- Approximately 1 year of environmental consulting experience or related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist with environmental site assessment projects for commercial, industrial, and real estate transactions according to NJ regulations and ASTM standards.
- Support site investigation and remediation projects in line with NJDEP regulations and guidance documents.
- Plan and conduct field activities, including soil, groundwater, and vapor intrusion investigations.
- Collect, organize, and review environmental data under senior staff guidance.
- Prepare technical reports and regulatory submissions such as Phase I ESAs and PARs.
- Coordinate with laboratories, subcontractors, and drilling contractors; support planning and budgeting.
