Job summary

University of California, Berkeley seeks a Graduate Program Coordinator to support the Integrative Biology and Molecular & Cell Biology Ph.D. programs. You will lead major projects, coordinate events, and provide student services in collaboration with faculty, staff, and students.

You will manage recruitment, orientation, commencement, and GSI hiring, while handling communications, data collection, and reimbursements. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in student affairs, event planning and coordination, or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in related area or equivalent experience/training.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and coordinate with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and manage in-person recruitment visits for graduate programs.
• Coordinate commencement ceremonies, travel, lodging, and faculty participation.
• Organize orientation activities and welcome events for new students and GSIs.
• Administer GSI applications, onboarding, and payroll coordination with HR.
• Coordinate student programming and staff support across departments.
• Maintain data collections and prepare reports for annual reviews and funding.
• Contribute to the maintenance of graduate program records and communications.
