Job summary

Harman in Richardson, TX is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to lead the development of next‑generation professional audio products, guiding cross‑functional teams from business cases through production. You will manage programs in a hands‑on, global environment, with project timelines typically ranging from 10 to 24 months, and you will oversee one to four projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of project management experience supporting engineering teams.
• Hands-on experience with MS Project, Jira, and Confluence.
• Strong understanding of engineering concepts and the full NPD lifecycle.
• Excellent communication and leadership for senior leadership presentations.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end program management by driving programs from initiation through sustaining, defining milestones, assessing risks, supporting resource planning, and ensuring successful on-time, on-budget launches.
• Build and manage detailed program schedules using MS Project, including WBS development and critical path analysis.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with engineering, supply chain, operations, manufacturing, product management, and marketing.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks with structured problem solving and negotiation.
• Provide clear reporting to leadership on KPIs, risks, and mitigation plans.
• Visit manufacturing facilities to enhance build processes and product quality.
• Lead program meetings, document discussions, and drive action item closures.
• Coordinate development activities across hardware, firmware, software, operations, and manufacturing.
• Maintain program documentation and configuration management including engineering change control.
• Prepare and manage program budgets, prototypes, samples, and external services.
