Michigan State University College of Human Medicine — Flint Campus is seeking a Community Assistant Dean to serve as chief academic officer for the community campus. The role focuses on directing the medical student education program, maintaining accreditation readiness, and fostering partnerships with regional health systems.

Qualifications

Doctorate-level degree required and terminal degree (MD/DO/PhD or equivalent).
Experience in medical education and academic administration is preferred.

Responsibilities

Administer, direct, and coordinate the medical student education program in line with college and university policies.
Ensure accreditation requirements are met and participate in accreditation activities as appropriate.
Advise students on career and professional development; prepare MSE/Pyerformance data for residency applications.
Recruit and support community faculty; manage community campus teams and resources.
Develop partnerships with local and regional health systems; advance inclusion and diversity initiatives.
Lead and supervise administrative staff and faculty involved in clinical education and policy implementation.
