Job summary

Unbound Academy in Arizona seeks a Virtual Reading Specialist to deliver targeted reading interventions for grades 3–8. You will use data to tailor instruction, adapt activities for diverse learners, and provide motivational support in a hybrid work setup.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in education or literacy, a reading intervention certification, and at least 2 years of experience delivering small-group or one-on-one interventions, including dyslexia support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, literacy, or closely related field.
• Reading intervention certification or endorsement (e.g., Arizona Reading Specialist K-12).
• Specialized training or certification in dyslexia intervention (or related structured literacy).
• At least 2 years of experience delivering small-group or one-on-one reading interventions for grades 3–8.
• Experience supporting students with dyslexia or related reading difficulties.
• Ability to interpret progress monitoring data and use it to plan and adjust instruction.
• Strong ability to engage and manage students in a virtual setting with clear, motivating communication.
• Available to work in a hybrid capacity in Arizona as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate virtual small-group and individual reading intervention sessions for grades 3–8.
• Leverage assessment data to identify fluency and comprehension weaknesses and modify instruction in real time.
• Adapt activities across varied reading levels, including accommodations for dyslexia.
• Monitor progress systematically and inform future sessions.
• Conduct structured motivational touchpoints to foster confidence and progress.
