Job summary

BCBST BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, Inc. seeks a React Native Mobile App Developer to design, build, and support enterprise mobile applications for iOS and Android. You will collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver scalable, high‑performing experiences and write clean JavaScript/TypeScript code.

This remote role follows Eastern hours and includes an on‑call rotation; final on‑site interviews occur in Chattanooga, TN. Sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• 1 year of IT concepts, application development methodology, terminology, and standards.
• 3 years of systems and programming experience.
• 1 year of expert working knowledge of at least one programming language in use at BCBST.

Responsibilities

• Formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact‑finding to design, develop, modify, or integrate complex information systems.
• Devises or modifies application systems to optimize functional requirements including capacity, operating time, response time, and form of desired results.
• Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents programs, subroutines, and scripts.
• May serve project team roles or manage phases of medium to large efforts.
• Maintains technical skill set for software languages, databases, platforms, operating systems, utilities and networks.
