Job summary

Bamboo Nutrition in the Greater Los Angeles Area seeks a Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) for an outpatient practice focused on eating disorders and mental health. This full-time role offers hybrid or fully remote options with an immediate hiring timeline.

Responsibilities include one-on-one counseling, intuitive-eating approach, HIPAA compliance and collaboration with the outpatient team. California residency is preferred for on-site duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Completion of ACEND-accredited dietetic internship (verification required).
• RD/RDN licensure and active registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration for duration of contract.
• Interest in mental health populations and willingness to learn relational counseling approaches.
• Calm, compassionate demeanor when engaging with clients.
• Ability to self-manage time efficiently to provide quality care.
• Willingness to learn on the job and accept feedback from peers.
• Desire to participate in a collaborative team dynamic.

Responsibilities

• Provides one-on-one nutrition counseling for clients at the outpatient level of care.
• Supports clients in adopting an intuitive eating, all-foods-fit philosophy with emphasis on medical stability, empowerment and self-worth.
• Maintains professional and therapeutic boundaries with clients.
• Follows Best-Practice guidelines for collaboration with a client’s outpatient team as needed.
• Assists with administrative tasks.
• Collaborates with colleagues in a supportive, constructive work environment.
• Participates in supervision hours for training in treatment of specialized populations, as needed.
• Complies with all HIPAA laws and regulations.
