Job summary

Dignity Health Medical Foundation in California seeks a Radiology Scheduler who will be the first point of contact for scheduling imaging appointments, providing prompt, courteous service as you schedule, cancel or reschedule procedures. You will also collect demographics, insurance and authorizations while preparing patients for exam protocols.

Qualifications

• High School GED or Diploma required.
• 1 year in a centralized scheduling call center or 2 years clinical healthcare experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills.
• Keyboarding skills and ability to use standard office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage comprehensive patient scheduling in Cerner & GECB with demographics, insurance, authorization and prior imaging coordination.
• Contribute to quality/performance improvement through team initiatives.
• Use resources efficiently and adapt to organizational changes.
• Plan and prioritize work to meet deadlines and achieve outcomes.
• Maintain professional and empathetic communication, ensuring patient respect and identification.
