Job summary

Scripps Health in San Diego seeks a per diem Radiology Administrative Support role to help ensure smooth daily operations. The position offers partial remote work with onsite training at La Jolla and a remote-work stipend.

This role requires strong communication, MS Office skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Preferred candidates are proactive, independent, and have knowledge of radiology workflows and medical terminology; Epic experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides administrative and operational support to ensure smooth daily department operations
• Serves as a key communication liaison between radiologists, clinical staff, technical teams, and external providers
• Applies knowledge of departmental procedures, radiology workflows, and unit operations
• Supports time-sensitive clinical communication for urgent cases, including Stroke, Trauma, and Interventional Radiology on-call
• Monitors and assists with radiology workflow systems to maintain continuity of imaging operations
• Manages actionable findings processes, case assignments, and documentation requests
• Communicates system downtimes and workflow updates to relevant stakeholders
• Trains new staff on workflows, procedures, and department operations
• Performs additional duties as needed to support efficient radiology services and patient care
• Coordinates radiologist schedules, departmental meetings, and conferences as needed
