Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years radiology coding experience.
• 250+ radiology cases productivity.
• Experience with Coderyte.
• CPC certification required; Radiology certification (CIRCC) preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in HIM/Medical Coding or 2 years related work experience can substitute for degree.

Responsibilities

• Assigns diagnosis and procedure codes to professional billing encounters based on documentation and coding guidelines.
• Reviews and codes moderately complex radiology cases with multiple diagnoses or complex documentation.
• Uses coding/revenue cycle systems to review queues, resolve coding edits, and address discrepancies.
• Collaborates with providers and clinical staff to clarify documentation for accurate coding and billing.
• Participates in coding quality assurance activities and ensures compliance with payer and organizational guidelines.
