Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; healthcare billing environment preferred.
• Comprehensive end-user computer skills; MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
• Understanding of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, and modifiers; knowledge of registration and medical records coding.

Responsibilities

• Review accounts for accuracy using charge capture audit system per local, state, and federal guidelines and managed care practices.
• Compare medical records documentation to patient account charges using clinical billing knowledge.
• Ensure adherence to corporate compliance plans and applicable agency regulations.
• Provide outstanding customer service and maintain respectful relationships with stakeholders.
• Improve accuracy and efficiency of the charge capture phase of the revenue cycle.
