Job summary

Blue River Technology is seeking a talented Radar Perception Engineer to join our team to develop and optimize the Radar Perception stack for robust autonomy in our engineering machines. You will work on radar perception and data fusion with camera-based perception, spanning hardware integration to algorithm development and validation.

You will collaborate across hardware, perception, and autonomy teams, implement real-time radar pipelines, and drive verification, safety, and performance

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Robotics, CS, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years in perception system development with radar, robotics, and embedded systems.
• Strong C++ and Python, production-level embedded code experience.
• Experience with ROS/ROS2 and Linux development environments.
• Familiarity with point cloud processing, sensor fusion, and coordinate transformations.

Responsibilities

• Software Development & Coding: Design and write robust, production-quality C++ code for real-time radar perception algorithms and robotics pipelines.
• Architecture & Integration: Architect and support scalable radar fusion pipelines for autonomous systems and lead radar data product integration.
• Algorithm Development: Develop and refine tracking, object identification, and data fusion for perception stacks.
• Validation & Metrics: Lead verification and validation efforts through field testing and performance optimization.
• Safety & Reliability: Develop safety-critical edge-case detection and documentation to ensure robust performance across environments.
• Proactively profile system bottlenecks (CPU/memory/latency) and optimize perception pipelines for real-time on deployed robots.
