Job summary

Khloud Foods is seeking an experienced R&D Manager to lead commercialization from concept to full-scale production across our co-manufacturing network. You will drive quality, cost, and yield improvements and run the sensory program that informs readiness.

This hands-on, IC role sets technical standards, collaborates with Operations, FSQA, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Marketing, and travels 25–40% to co-manufacturers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of progressive CPG food product development experience.
• 3 years leading projects end to end.
• Experience with popcorn or snack categories.
• Strong formulation and ingredient functionality skills.
• Willingness to travel 25–40%.
• Remote-friendly, US-based work.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of new products, line extensions and renovations across multiple snack formats.
• Partner with Marketing to translate insights into compliant formulas meeting sensory, cost and regulatory requirements.
• Own commercialization from feasibility through full-scale production for timely retailer launches.
• Lead plant trials, scale-ups and validations across co-manufacturers.
• Drive yield, cost and quality improvements across existing products.
• Run internal sensory studies and manage external IHUTs and benchmarking.
• Set technical standards and processes to enable scalable operations.
• Collaborate with Operations, FSQA, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Marketing.
