Quandela is seeking a Quantum Hardware Engineering Intern to join the QPU Prototyping team in a remote-capable role. The project focuses on developing active stabilisation and control methods to maintain QPU performance over extended periods, integrating optics, automation and data analysis.

The ideal candidate is completing an M2 or final-year engineering degree in related fields, with hands-on optics experience and strong English skills.

Formación

• M2 or final-year engineering degree in physics, photonics, optical engineering, quantum technologies, control engineering or a related field.
• Experience with experimental optics or laboratory instrumentation is desirable.
• Professional English proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Characterise mechanisms and drifts that limit optical-system and QPU performance.
• Develop active feedback methods to stabilise parameters like optical phase and timing.
• Select sensors, actuators, control electronics and measurement equipment.
• Develop software for automated calibration, real-time monitoring and data acquisition.
• Document the system and collaborate with teams to transfer to an operational quantum processor.
