Job summary

PingWind is seeking a seasoned Quantum Computing/Cryptography Engineer to support a large Federal Government client. You will apply expertise in quantum technologies, post-quantum cryptography, and migration strategies to modernize cryptographic infrastructure and manage risks across enterprise systems.

The role requires collaboration with diverse teams, strong communication of complex risks, and adherence to NIST PQC standards. Remote work with travel as needed to meet stakeholders is supported.

Qualifications

• Requires experience in quantum computing and cryptography.
• Experience with PQC modernization and migration planning.
• Project management experience in large orgs or govt contracts.

Responsibilities

• Assess quantum technologies and their cybersecurity impacts.
• Evaluate cryptographic protocols and PKI for modernization priorities.
• Develop migration plans for quantum-resistant algorithms.
• Assess inventories and prioritize systems for migration/remediation.
• Develop, implement, and test cryptographic/quantum solutions.
• Provide guidance aligned with PQC standards (NIST).
• Communicate risks and migration recommendations to stakeholders.
