Gibson Consulting Group, Inc. is seeking a Quantitative Research Scientist to conduct education research and evaluate programs for school districts, state agencies, and education centers. The role centers on the quantitative work within our research portfolio and requires rigorous data analysis.

The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. or graduate training in a social science field, advanced Stata programming (Python a plus), and experience cleaning and analyzing large datasets.

Qualifications

• Advanced Stata programming; Python a plus.
• Experience managing and cleaning large datasets.
• Experience with statistical/econometric methods in social science.
• Familiarity with sound research design.

Responsibilities

• Manage, clean, and analyze large-scale educational datasets.
• Write reproducible code for data preparation and analysis.
• Create descriptive statistics and fit statistical models.
• Communicate results via reports, presentations, dashboards.
• Design evaluation frameworks to measure program impact.
• Provide statistical consulting to clients on data use.
• Develop protocols for surveys and focus groups.
