Job summary

JustFoodForDogs is seeking a Quality & Regulatory Systems Manager to build and improve our quality systems, ensuring safety, compliance, and consistency across our pet-food products delivered remotely in the US.

You will lead supplier quality, document control, change management, state registrations, and commercialization, partnering with Regulatory, Quality Assurance, R&D, Supply Chain and Operations to drive scalable, data-driven governance and support growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 7+ years of experience in quality, regulatory, or related disciplines.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Supplier Quality, Food Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of USDA, FDA, AAFCO, animal food regulations, supplier quality systems, state registrations, and external manufacturing oversight.
• Experience managing document control systems, change management, quality management systems (QMS), supplier governance, and specification management.
• Proven ability to build dashboards, develop KPIs, organize complex datasets, identify trends, and leverage data to improve business performance.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, complex workflows, and cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, financial awareness, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supplier qualification and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Manage core QMS processes including document control, change control, non-conformances, variances, CAPAs, and master documentation.
• Develop structured repositories, workflows, and tracking tools for reliable reporting and system sustainability.
• Develop and maintain quality dashboards, KPIs, supplier scorecards, and executive reporting.
• Coordinate with Regulatory, QA, R&D, Supply Chain and Operations to support packaging changes and regulatory execution.
