Job summary

CB&I Newport, Oregon, is seeking a PPL Quality Operations Specialist to develop and implement quality programs across assessments, surveillance, non-conformances, and continual improvement. You may function as a QA/QC Engineer depending on project needs and will coordinate with project teams for inspection and ITP development.

The role requires 7+ years in QA/QC on heavy construction, familiarity with ASME/API/NDE standards, and the ability to manage audits, NCRs, CARs, and project handover

Qualifications

• 7+ years of QA/QC experience on industrial or heavy construction projects with emphasis on quality documentation, records/QMS management, and project turnover.
• A degree in welding, engineering, metallurgy, or related field preferred; equivalent field experience with relevant certifications (e.g., AWS CWI) will be considered.
• Knowledge of codes: ASME II/VIII/IX, API 650/620, AWS D1.1, NDE quals per SNT-TC-1A is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to continued improvement area initiatives and deploys quality program initiatives.
• Conduct internal quality audits per plan and assist in obtaining applicable certifications.
• Review client/project specs to identify quality requirements and develop ITPs and site quality forms.
