Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Clinical Quality Assurance Nurse for a contract-to-hire position based out of Orlando, FL. The role focuses on ensuring high-quality case reports in compliance with client contracts and regulatory standards.

Pay starts at $26.50–$28.50 per hour with a training period of 4–6 weeks; regular hours MON-FRI 11:30am–8pm EST after training. Remote workplace supports the role, with completion of essential QA duties and collaboration with the QA department.

Qualifications

• Must have strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, medications and laboratory values.
• Must be a qualified typist with a minimum of 40 W.P.M
• Must have a full understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance.
• Must be able to operate a general computer, fax, copier, scanner, and telephone.
• Must be knowledgeable of multiple software programs, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and the Internet.
• Must demonstrate exceptional communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and respond to upper management directions accurately.
• Must demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; look for ways to improve quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality assurance review of peer review reports, correspondences, addendums or supplemental reviews.
• Ensure clear, concise, evidence-based rationales have been provided in support of all recommendations and determinations.
• Ensure client instructions and specifications are followed and all questions addressed.
• Ensure the content, format, and professional appearance of reports meet standards.
• Verify that the peer reviewer attests to facts and that no reviewer conflicts exist.
• Ensure provider credentials and signatures align with final reports.
• Identify inconsistencies in reports and obtain clarifications as needed.
• Assist in resolving client complaints and QA issues.
• Ensure compliance with ERISA and state mandates at all times.
• Provide guidance on consultant quality and compliance with policies.
